What really struck me after kayaking every Sunday last summer from May to October was how many beautiful and untouched areas exist around New Jersey, many just a few feet from the suburban sprawl this state is (in)famous for.

All of the trips we took were within an hour from home in northern Ocean County and all were easy to access, not requiring more than a few feet of lugging the boat to the put in.
